... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made. This time, it might take a little longer than usual depending on how I feel because I've got COVID. A mild case because I've been vaccinated, but it's really knocked me flat and I spend a lot of time resting. I'll do my best, though.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

In the original Muppet show, Kermit can be a real Jerk at times. Secret: I actually prefer that to the kinda sadsack he has become in recent works. Especially that Muppets-The Office show.

The older I get, the less and less I like Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. It's militarism is just horrible, and Sisko's consistent commitment to warcrimes just makes me think the reason he grew a goatee was because he was from the Evil Mirror Universe. Worst Trek Captain of the Classic Era!

Irn Bru doesn't make good lube, writer of a certain Scottish fanfic, it is phenomenal, but not that phenomenal.

I don't know whether my fandom is Irn Bru, or the fanfic, or just a fan of good sex.

I can't help it, and I don't know why, but I just think that Bert from Sesame Street looks like Christopher Meloni's Eliot Stabler in Law and Order:SVU (but only in SVU).

[Yes, I know they did an actual Muppet version of the show, but Bert still looks more like him than his offical Muppet]

I get peeved when a fic isn't posted on AO3. I know some people don't have/don't want an account there, but damn!
I really don't want to read this fic on your made-in-2001 fic site that you thought would look good done in green and yellow camo (and where half the art is missing 'cause the image platform doesn't exist anymore).

(I know, I know. My peevishness is over the top and unnecessary and I need to suck it up. But I still just. Don't. Like it.)

It isn't that I don't think tv shows and movies shouldn't tackle social issues, they should, it is just that at the moment they are doing issues I just don't give a crap about.

X-Men comics.

I find the current X-Men storyline genuinely offensive. If Marvel want me to buy the metaphor behind the Mutants and making Krakoa their pure mutant homeland, then they better introduce some indigenous Krakoans kept in destitution by invading Mutants to make it complete. Otherwise there is just a great gaping hole in it. If they are gonna do a bit, then they ought to damn well commit to it all the way.

Hey secretmaker! I hope you'll feel better soon. If you know anybody who can visit the store for you and get you some vitamin d3, I heard that it helps a lot with symptoms.

I wish we could have gotten an Archer movie before Jessica Walters passed away. I would have picked that over any James Bond, Mission Impossible, Bourne, or other spy movie franchise out there.

I hate Chopper from Star Wars Rebels. That character was an irredeemable asshole that repeatedly blew missions, I don't know why they were a fan favorite.

If there is ever a remake of Groundhog Day, I hope it is just a shot for shot remake with Bill Murray reprising his original role and then de-aged with computer sorcery.

i liked encanto, i think it's good and i know it's a kid's movie so naturally the main character gets burdened way more than she should.

anyway i hatehatehate the narrative of a child having been sent to "save" the family from dysfunction when there were 4 wholeass adults (2 of which had not grown up under abuela) who could have at least tried to do something.

Fandom: Babylon 5

I'm honestly looking forward to the Babylon 5 remake. JMS is still at the helm and I think he'll deliver something amazing. I understand why people are disappointed to not get a sequel, but that's impossible with half the cast gone into the Great Beyond. It just wouldn't be the same. I think starting over is the best choice here.

i have no right to discuss whether redskins was offensive, but i do know that the change was forced not by actually offended native american groups but by white girls on twitter who somehow broke through to the sponsors

well congratulations, you did it, now we've gone through a full rebrand to the washington commanders. we might as well have changed all the uniforms to beige, taupe and grey

(the only positive i can take from this is that in the climate that brought about the change i genuinely thought we might end up as the washington #blacklivesmatters)

Fandom: E.E. "Doc" Smith's Lensman series

I would love to have a good adaptation of this series, but it's unlikely to happen in the current fandom and media climate. I think it could be done, and done well in a way that avoids most of the pitfalls of le problmatique (like the movie adaptation of A Princess of Mars that was made a few years ago); I just don't think it's likely at this point.
