Re: Video Essayists you love
(Anonymous) 2022-02-11 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)Josh Snares mostly does shorter stuff about Doctor Who releases, but his longer essays on the missing episodes are FANTASTIC.
Wait in the Wings does these amazing videos about the behind the scenes of how musicals got to Broadway (or failed to get to Broadway in some cases). Try the Starlight Express one if you're looking for a good place to start.
Matt Baume is great - he mostly talks about queer representation throughout TV history, and he also has some similar stuff with movies.
Sideways is probably a given, but I love his tales on soundtracks.
