I feel like I hate it more than Monday.

I used to LOVE 8TRACKS!

I haven't logged into it for a long while, so idk. But what I have seen is people posting their fanmix tracklist or playlist link (YT/Spotify) on the A/N of their fic or in the beginning of chapter one. So maybe there?

Honestly I would stick to making tracklists and having a separate YT account for the playlists. Sigh. I remember back when you could download the zip of all the songs, the person made a tracklist and even had pretty album cover art. LJ days.

Oh man, I also miss my friend from back in the day. We used to RP on AIM all the time and talk meta about our favorite anime and draw art for each other and it was just nice having someone to nerd out with after school on an internet that wasn't completely poisoned yet. And then I had a mental breakdown for a couple months, and when I was finally able to get back online she'd gone completely AWOL, never logged on with the last sign-in I knew of, or responded to emails, or reached out when I posted some art I'd done for her on my art site account (which I knew she knew) asking her to contact me. Her parents were kinda strict, the standard "don't share any personal info online!!" kinda thing of the time, so I worried they'd decided to escalate things and take her offline entirely.

I still think about her a lot, 20 years later, because in retrospect I figured out a lot of my kinks through those RPs (which never got explicit or anything, but like, our characters sure ended up having babies a lot) and I wish I could ask her if that was a mutual thing or if I was just subconsciously imposing my burgeoning sexuality on her and I want to apologize if that's the case. I'm sorry, Jenny.

Nonnie, I straight skipped today and thought it was Thursday! Lol.

I think about a lot of people I used to talk to and RP with and wonder how they're doing and hope everything is going well for them.

Animal Crossing New Horizons kept me sane through lockdown and gave me something to focus on rather than the existential dread and anxiety that built up over having no control over the situation. I'm now on my fifth island and just starting to redo my main communal area, 1500+hrs later.

Because it ends in a y, all days that end in a y suck the worst.

Andrew Lloyd Webber may be an asshole, but him putting a bunch of his shows on Youtube made for some *amazing* Discord drink-and-mock nights. I've never laughed so hard as I did when making fun of Love Never Dies with my friends.

I find r/askwomen to be kind of a joke. You say one word that might not quite fit the topic and it's considered derailing lmao I don't even bother anymore. which others should I avoid, f!s?

Because you get through the day and realize you still have half the week to go.

Same. I had no clue what it was about, then read a couple reviews or...i dunno, just opinions about it, and the animal abuse aspect was just too grotesque to contemplate watching. Especially as it seems that abuse seemed to happen without consequences of any kind. NOPE.

She felt the same and ranted at/with me for a bit, just boggled at the rave reviews it was getting.

Not saying he's not a good athlete, not passionate about his craft, but...the routine was fucking boring.

I am so sad that I couldn't get into a lot of theatre and concerts online. Some of them are my only chances to watch pandemic or not. But I just couldn't.
I was really into local guide guy who talked a lot about my city. He still does pretty great videos.
I am into audio drama podcasts to start with, but I was obsessed with SAYER in the first months. Apparently my comfort media is dystopia

Ashes of Love. This huge, silly, terrible, grand story where the only love-story I wasn't drastically invested in was, uh, the main one...

I actually loved that he looked like that. Elaborate costumes look cool but I can't help but like that people coming up can see that you don't have to pay for an elaborate, expensive costume to be champion.

Damn I miss those days. I loved doing fanmixes, cover art and all.
8tracks sort of works, but no one seems to use it.
I hate spotify with passion.
I've uploaded couple of mixes on Ao3, but it's mostly a miss, this is not a good site for archiving content that is not text

I didn't super love that it was a medley but I thought it fit him well and his 'boogie' dance was delightful.

Lmao I think so? I'm not on Tumblr/Twitter so I'm not sure how that works there, but that's where I've seen fanmixes these days -- attached to the fics! You could probably "gift" a playlist to a fic writer too (if it's a WIP. Some people are very nice and say this user created a playlist for this fic! Link here, but idk if everyone would do that.)

Truly, RIP that fanmix culture. 8 tracks was the spot where I'd find new songs/get inspiration based off of mood playlists. Although maybe TikTok has something similar? Idk.

I'm the Anon who responded from above. I feel like there was a drop off from 8 tracks because a lot of music got pulled. Spotify I don't bother.

If you want more traction to your fanmix using A03, I recommend posting it with a fic. One shot. Drabble. Imagine. Whatever. Will definitely get eyes on it.
