I know you only mean the people you follow, but that's your answer. It's not Tumblr it's just your corner of it. Just try and find accounts that have similar interests to you. And if it's tagged then you can make sure you don't see those posts.

But trust me, Tumblr is not a monolith.

i like the movie but i still think that the style was a big part of why it didn't do great, it so looks like standard dreamworks slop

I watched it on a plane (a long haul flight) precisely because it looked like standard Dreamworks slop and was really shocked that I actually liked it. I thought it'd be something I'd stick on and fall asleep to. I didn't sleep.

I wouldn't try to push the secret OP to watch something they don't want to watch but I very much know where they're coming from despite the fact that I ended up thinking it's actually good.

Huh, I looked for Megamind content on tumblr, but all I could find were posts praising it for subverting tropes. I was more looking for meta, fic, memes, etc. Guess we can both be disappointed.

I feel this way about Steven Universe. I don't care how good it might be, I'll never watch it because just seeing Steven's face fills me with rage.

Mmm. It seems like an interesting storyline, but the voice-acting grates at me and the way the characters are drawn is just... not for me.

Huh, I've never had this reaction to anything. The closest I've come is loathing how characters I'm familiar with look in some of the existing adaptations.

Also I love Megamind, and I'm laughing picturing your reaction to Will Farrell wearing a giant blue plastic bald head when he was promoting the movie. Trust me, it could be worse.

I get it. I'll never watch Superfamily due to sexual demorphism. Also ugly suits.
It didn't bother me in Transylvania because it's more toned down there I guess.

Megamind... yeah. how does his neck even work?

Hah hah I feel you, I dislike how some art look sometimes so much it hurts. I really hate one popular in my corner of internet comic enough that I can't even stand other works made by it's artists. I had to get really creative with muting, blocking and even unsubscribing from people.

Try blocking Megamind tag as much as you can. It doesn't 100% helps, but it helps.

I get that. I’ve definitely felt that way about quite a few character designs in my time, I just can’t help it. It doesn’t usually mean I can’t watch or read the work that contains the designs I hate, but sometimes it does.

As for this movie, I don’t mind Megamind’s design, oddly(except in his disguised form). But I really can’t stand the design for Roxanne, the female lead and love interest. I feel like her head is too big, although not as much as Megamind obviously, and her haircut looks so bad to me. It might look better if her head wasn’t so weirdly shaped and big, but maybe it would still look ugly to me. And most of the other characters have unappealing designs to me, really, with the exception of Metro Man. Hal and Roxanne just have the worst of it. And I think the kind of unappealing character designs, with strange proportions, were just everywhere in Dream Works movies. Especially with human characters, and especially in the 2000s.

I do still like Megamind though.
