I get that. I’ve definitely felt that way about quite a few character designs in my time, I just can’t help it. It doesn’t usually mean I can’t watch or read the work that contains the designs I hate, but sometimes it does.

As for this movie, I don’t mind Megamind’s design, oddly(except in his disguised form). But I really can’t stand the design for Roxanne, the female lead and love interest. I feel like her head is too big, although not as much as Megamind obviously, and her haircut looks so bad to me. It might look better if her head wasn’t so weirdly shaped and big, but maybe it would still look ugly to me. And most of the other characters have unappealing designs to me, really, with the exception of Metro Man. Hal and Roxanne just have the worst of it. And I think the kind of unappealing character designs, with strange proportions, were just everywhere in Dream Works movies. Especially with human characters, and especially in the 2000s.

I do still like Megamind though.
