Putler rot in hell

*signed, Russian
For anyone interested, nuclear fallout will get our cities too. Rosotov and Krasnodar are first on the way, there are millions of people where. I have friends in this cities. I have friends in Kharkov. My uncle is in Ukrainian army fighting against Russian invaders. I've been shaking for the week now. Before saying that we are as people are doing nothing, we are doing. It's just not enough

Also it's possible that we are getting I don't know English word eh war... closed? today. It's getting even worse with censorship, my friend's 16 year old son is risking getting drafted, my medical worker friend who is 4'11 woman can get drafted.
I am risking another troll attack, I am sorry f!s, but I needed an outlet to start the day

Nobody blames ordinary Russians. Clearly there are some unhinged that believe the Stare propaganda, but we know not all.

Re: Ukraine.

(Anonymous) 2022-03-04 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
There are a lot of who believe state propaganda, sadly. They are most of the time are not bad people, but years with livi ng with TV instead of brains are working. :(

Re: Ukraine.

(Anonymous) 2022-03-04 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes we do. The ones who sitback and do nothing are just as complicit as those who actively fight for the regime. There is a 77 year old lady who went out and fought and protested, those are the extra-ordinary Russians who, like the anti-Nazi German resistance of eighty years ago, are not to blame. Nations are made up of ordinary people who simply sit and let their nation commit atrocities and are just as complicit as those who actively fought for them.

The world is closing doors to Russians, great and small, so this community should do the same. It is time to choose a side. Which flag colors are you wearing?

Who is we? Who do you represent here exactly?

I'm sorry what? This sounds pretty strange, I'm seconding the question who're 'we'.

I don't expect everyone to risk going to jail for 15 years.

Please tell us precisely what you are doing to fight Russia or the worst of your own country. What actions are you taking and what are you risking? Give us the deets, nonny.

I feel sorry for everyone in Ukraine and the Russian citizens who oppose the war and Putin's rule. I'm glad there are Russians like you who see the truth.

Screw the trolls. Ignorant bigots who probably also blame random Asian people for covid.

I hope NATO comes up with something they can do about this crap without getting nukes intentionally launched somewhere, and I hope you and your friends and family can stay safe.

Re: Ukraine.

I'm so sorry for you and your family, and everyone else in the area who's going through this hell right now. I continue to hope like hell that somebody can manage to finally get through and put an end to this insane war once and for all.

Take care and stay safe. I'm thinking of you and yours, and everyone else in the area. I know that doesn't sound like a lot and you've probably heard those sentiments many times already, but, yeah. I really hope things get better as soon as humanly possible.

Knowing as a citizen that not all world hates you for your shitty government really helps, so thank you all. It gives power to keep fighting to see another day that maybe. Maybe can be better for all of us

Oh, definitely. It's not fair at all to blame an entire country for the actions of its leaders, especially when they have little to no say over what those leaders do, as is the case in Russia with Putin. I've been seeing the footage of Russian citizens taking to the streets to protest the war, and it's been very inspiring and moving, particularly when you consider how much risk they're taking by doing so.

So yeah, I'm glad those sentiments are helping you feel a little better, and I echo your sentiments about fighting to see another day and a better life for all :).

I’m so sorry you’re going through this horrifying situation, just because you happen to live in a country with a terrible ruler! The most important thing is that you and your loved ones stay safe!

Re: Ukraine.

(Anonymous) 2022-03-04 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Please ignore all the trolls that hate on you just for being born in Russia. It's not the moral responsibility of civilians (esp. Anti-war civilians) that this war is taking place. Russia is a very corrupted place who has a strong hold on their people due to their strong propaganda and it has been for a looong time now. It's not your fault this is happening.

I'm European and I'm currently learning Russian because I love the history and culture of your country and I'm getting a lot of awful comments telling me that I should stop spending time learning the language of an aggressor. :/// The world isn't sane right now.

Hope you'll be all right and safe, nonny. I'll be thinking about you so please keep us updated. <3

Re: Ukraine.

(Anonymous) 2022-03-04 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Damn. This comments are shitty!
Even the worst countries deserve to have their culture preserved. And it's not like you're saying that war is ok, just by learning language. I mean, people should forget English if it's the case or something.

Hey, talk culture to me, it's been... a day. What are you interested in?

Re: Ukraine.

(Anonymous) 2022-03-04 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Man, I'm sorry your day was bad. Hope it'll get better... sending you love and support.

SO!!! RUSSIA. I've loved Russian since I was 15 years old, when I first read Doctor Živago by Pasternak because I was slightly interested in the October Revolution. I don't even know why, but that novel sparked something in me and I began devouring a lot of Russian novels. Dostoevskij, Tolstoj, Čechov, Turgenev... I've read 'em all. I have read all of Dostoevskij's works and it's by far my favourite author. He influenced me a lot when I was in high school and I'm very grateful.
I got into Russian history and loved the history of Caterina the Great and Ivan the Terrible. A lot of very charismatic and problematic leader in Russian history. URSS's history is very interesting too and it's a shame a lot of people dismiss it because it has shaped the world geopolitical sphere for half a century and more.

The Russian sci-fi is awesome, too! Solaris is one of the best sci-fi story and movie ever.
I'm into horror movies, too, and Russia have some awesome horror movies. 2020's Sputnik is the perfect horror sci-fi (my fav genre so I'm biased) and I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

ALSO!!! Since I was a little kid I listened to a lot of classical music and I adore Stravinskij, Čajkovskij, Rachmaninov, Šostakovič. Stravinskij is my fav because he's so creepy... I used to listen to the rite of spring before sleeping. I wonder how I didn't have nightmares every night bach then ahaha

Lately I'm branching out thanks to Spotify and I'm listening to more modern artists. There are a lot of incredibly talented Indie groups!!!
Right now I'm into: The Hatters, Peremotka, Valentin Strykalo and Dajte Tank (!). Last year I was the top 1% listener to the Hatter and Dajte Tank (!) and I was very proud of myself LMAO

Дайте танк (!) – Слова-паразиты https://youtu.be/WAOpVxr4ba8
I LOVE THIS TOO MUCH AAAAH

(I wanted to study Russian in university, but chose another language so I'm slowly learning it by myself in my 30s as a hobby)

And the TV show "To the Lake" last year. Can't wait for another season!

Stop trying to make it about you, it is about Ukraine. Get drafted? Resist, refuse, rebel. Be like this 77 year old lady. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/russia-elderly-woman-anti-war-protest-b2027436.html

Nations are full of silent collaborators, co-conspirators by inaction. Do nothing, be part of the problem. Do something, like a woman who needs sticks to move, and resist. Join your uncle, and fight like them. Condemn the neighbors and the others who sit back and do nothing.

DA How easily voices on the internet demand other people go die to prove their moral virtue.

[TRIGGER WARNING: SUICIDE]
NAYRT

I dislike these types of comments. OP here is just trying to vent and they are rightfully upset about a situation they have no control over.
I doubt they are so *stupid* as to believe that inaction is the morally right thing here and I doubt they need YOU to remind them. THEY JUST NEED TO VENT HERE.

Personally I'm a coward and I have a lot of trauma relating to violence. If war would come to my doorstep (and it's a possibility now since I live in Eastern EU) I'd probably k*ll myself. I don't say it lightly. I mean it. I'm always borderline suicidal due to my mental problem. Offing myself is what I think of as best scenario for me personally, and also the higher case. I would be totally terryfied and of no help in any sistuation involving resistance. I would just give up and surrender all the secrets I know and even sell my friends if torture were on the table.
I'm not a hero and I don't want to be one. And I imagine that a lot of people are like me, even if they don't want to admit it.
Simply telling people they should [Resist, refuse, rebel], when you know nothing about their situation, implicitly telling them that they are WRONG for simply venting of a F!S post and seemingly doing nothing is VERY tone deaf. And not helping AL ALL.

I don't want to make this rant about *you* in particular, but are you sure that you'd be able to resist, refute, rebel in their situation?
What are you trying to accomplish posting this comment here? Help OP? Help the case againg war? Or simply feeling better about YOURSELF, fooling yourself and trying to fool people on the internet that you care so much about the war that you'd be willing to lose everything: your whole family, everything that you love, your whole life, for some event that probably doesn't really directly thouch you at the moment?
I don't care about the answer because I really don't care about you in particular, it's the sentiment behind these types of comment that upset me.

Re: Ukraine.

Anon, I feel you so much! Saying resist and fight is easy when you don't face people with guns face on.
And the thing is, people who are fighting need venting and just stopping for a bit too, because they are people.
