I feel it. Everyone can be insecure from time to time. I can be this and I do directly ask for validation.
But some people just. I knew one girl who thought that everything I say puts her down. She screamed at me because I said at passing that I don't drink instant coffee for example. She thought that I was boasting about my wealth???? And we were doing fandom project together this was as fun as it sounds.

Yeesh, she sounded like a miserable person to interact with, if she tried to spin everything you say as some kind of put down! Like, my mind is boggled from her leaping from “I don’t like canned coffee” to you somehow boasting about your wealth??
