I solved this problem by being into hurt/comfort fic. There’s been very little sex for me to skip over in the 25 or so years since I discovered fic. I hope you can find a fun corner of fandom that also avoids the sex, fellow ace.

...Dang, now I kind of want my fandom to get a remake/remaster even more because maybe it would lead me to some music that I haven't heard that works for my ship instead of stuff that was mostly old even 20 years ago, hahah. (I keep seeing a line or two quoted that makes me go "ping!" and then I look up the entire song and it doesn't work at all...)

But despite the feeling old, I'm glad you apparently got some enjoyment out of your ship having new content. Living the dream. :D

Back pats from a fellow asexual.

In some ways I feel like fandom is perfect for me, because I'm all about my OTP having sexytiems (which I know not all ace people are). But in other ways I definitely do feel a bit different sometimes. Like literally any time the conversation is about sex outside the context of my OTP.

I'm happy for everyone else getting down with their bad selves, but it can be a little bit of a bummer sometimes to feel like there's a bunch of stuff you can't join in on.

Sorry, I’m going to be annoying and repeat what I said in the text secret but essentially for me it’s 1. When the post goes up and 2. My time zone. Sometimes I get a back and forth going. Other times I don’t. Sometimes I’m reading over breakfast and it feels like most of the discussion has fizzled out. If I have the opportunity to comment again and I might pick up a response or two, I take it.

Agree about the secret makers being fantastic of course!

I’m trying to migrate the one LJ I still have (I have two past ones I’m locked out of) over here but I’ve had to try A LOT. Some people might be doing the same and encountering the same issue.

I really can’t get into fandom on Twitter.
