If you don’t mind animated stuff, I think Lower Decks is probably the best newer Trek for more lighthearted sci-fi.

DS9 is definitely darker than TNG and Voyager but it comes from the same era and has similar enough vibes you might be okay with it.

TOS has some pretty dated special effects but its fun.
