A little of both. I find myself finding "shipping, LOL so random, RPing in the comments" kind of annoying the older I get, but I tolerate that over the "everything is problematic, sus bussin' yeet, cancel this" kids nowadays days seem to be doing.

The cancellation stuff is weird. In one of the fandoms I recently joined, people were having heated discussions about cancelling a member in the fandom for writing suggestive material about a 18YO celebrity when everyone involved were roughly in their early 20s. I have no idea what the right thing is since I don't read that celebrity's fanfiction, but my thing has always been if it makes me uncomfortable but it's 18+ I just back away and don't engage. I'm not going to go out of my way to tell other people that I find it morally wrong.

+ if a fanwork comes with the necessary warnings, I don't think there should be a reason for people to get up in arms about what others are writing
