Yeah, that's a fair view of it. I was definitely thinking more along the lines of a character who has always been pleasant and respectful to the other character involved, then in a fic suddenly is like "now that we're alone..." and turns into a complete monster, no moral dilemma or second thoughts.

In discussing a case of this recently, the other person noted that it might be someone's rape fantasy with them identifying with the female character, so I mean... okay, I'm not going to judge someone for having rape fantasies. I'm uh, gonna kind of judge the characterization in these kinds of stories though. :P
