"Somehow Palpatine has returned. Dark magic, cloning, secrets only the Sith know" is a line so bad that it's going to live in my mind forever.

It reads like a fucking A/N before a fanfic that is chucking canon out the window. Like, "Just to clarify, this exists in a world where the Avengers got the glove off Thanos the first time, and everybody still lives in the Tower. Kthxbye!"

Except one is written by a singular individual with shit to do and bills to pay, and its posted for free on the internet, while the other is a fucking billion dollar property brought into existence by thousands of dedicated professionals.
