I’ve been hitting a wall with open world games lately, too! Sometimes it’s as mentioned - being overwhelmed by choice or going so far away from the main storyline (usually trying to accomplish something that becomes much easier if you completed more of the main quest) that I get lost trying to get back into it. Other times if there’s a grind involved it catches up to me, especially if it’s related to something I want to try or honestly need to do irl (tool and clothing repair, cooking experiments…). But the first few hours before then I do still get madly immersed.
