+1 Open world games feel so shallow to me. Like someone else said, it's basically the same five quests rinse and repeat, but I want more narrative structure. How can a game consistently build interest and meaning into a story line if there's no telling what a player will do and in what order?

Horizon Forbidden West was my latest disappointment. I loved the first game so much.

Yeah, I especially loved the incredibly stupid zag at the end to set up another cliffhanger with a disappointing final boss that got lost on the way to Kingdom Hearts 8.whatever.

The world is about to end, everything depends on me getting Gaia rebuilt first, why the fuck would I take time out of my busy schedule to go hunt down one specific longleg to get a part so a kid can play some music?
