I don't mind "Character is [headcanon], I don't make the rules", but only because I always read that wording as jokingly hyperbolic. That being said, I don't really engage with headcanon posts so I never end up in drama because of people taking their headcanons way too seriously.

Almost always reads as jokingly hyperbolic to me, not serious, and as long as that's the case I can't get too heated up over it
