My sister got a restraining order against her (soon to be ex) husband on Monday. He took the kids from school on Tuesday and no one has seen them since. My sister got an emergency custody order today. He knows the police are looking for him and has gone into hiding with the kids.

Jesus Christ, that's awful. Really hope everything works out OK. How stressful and terrifying.

Yeah. I just hope they can find them soon. I hope the kids are not too traumatized by it. The domestic violence shelter is going to help get the kids therapy at well.

something like that happened to my cousins, whose father just straight up aducted them to china. nothing bad happened to them, the hurt was mostly on the adults who had to find a way to get them back. not trying to make this about me, just sharing to show that things can absolutely turn out alright in these situations.
