conversation about archetypes are always so interesting because I really don't hate any friends character? They're too clearly for sole purpose of comedy personality conflicts to hate. I don't think people would hate Ross as much if his Rachel bullshit wasn't a throughline of the show. Most of his other foibles only harm himself, and otherwise he's most reasonable one. I think Phoebe's foibles actually always affect other people, but she's clearly more empathetic and chill so people don't mind it as much.

Agreed. And I also don’t hate any Friends characters, because they’re all likable and funny in their own ways to me.
