I literally do not see how "someone engaged with this movie several times and can't stop talking shit about it" would be worse, I guess. A little sillier and indicative of underlying shameful fascination, maybe, but worse?

IDk that kind of hatewatching seems to have a really strong tendency to get toxic and out-of-control.

I actually thought about that, but I don't think the people who talk about media they haven't seen are always distinguishable in that regard.

If they're dumb enough to repeatedly waste money on tickets for a movie they hate, I guess it might be worse for their wallet.
