I recall a friend of mine was pissed because they saw a very good, very sad anime movie about terminal illness whose title was localized "I Want To Eat Your Pancreas" and people laughed because they thought it was funny. :P I get why they'd laugh, so uhm. Maybe not the best title. (Presumably it's a reference to something that happens in the movie, but still.)

As for ridiculously awesome, I see someone already mentioned Killer Klowns. ;)

That's the movie that popped into my head when I saw the title of this thread. I haven't actually seen the movie, but I think that's the actual title in Japanese.

I would assume so because I'm not sure why else they would call it that... I don't know if the average Japanese person would find it as weird a title as the average American person seems to.

I figure it makes sense in the context of the movie. From what I've heard of it I'd like to see it, though when it was actually released the whole "terminal illness" thing was still kind of a touchy subject. (Now I'm more resigned to it.)
