I'm in my thirties, aroace, and I feel this. I've been contemplating "just doing it" for many years, because of the judgmental and sometimes even dehumanizing way that society views people who never have. It would just feel good to be "part of the club," you know? But I'm somewhat sex repulsed (when it comes to sex that involves me), so I know if I do it, it will be horrible and likely quite physically painful.

I don't know what your situation is specifically, but regardless, please be kind to yourself. If you do it, that's okay, and if you don't, that's okay, but no matter what, you're valid and you're feelings are valid. Having bad sex, or having good sex, or having no sex ever--none of it defines you at all.

Same tbh. Like, I'm not even remotely interested in having sex to the point being repulsed but there's this fucked up thought of "maybe if I had sex I could say it wasn't for me, people would stop with the ~you wouldn't know until you tried it~" but nah, that would just turn into "you just haven't found the right person to do it with" and I'd be back where I started.
