Same. I don't like it when any Asian country is used as a marketing trick. "This thing written in English in an English-speaking country is so special because the author is SO ASIAN, LOOK, SO ASIAN, SO EXOTIC!"

I don’t agree that that’s what they’re doing, and that this is a needlessly cynical reading. I think they’re proud of their heritage and culture, and want to include it in their work.
