This is hilarious!

It always cracks me up as well (not just c-dramas, Japanese and Korean ones too -- LatAm telenovelas do it too, but it's usually someone European who actually speaks Spanish like a native or they put on an accent, but I digress). My favorite has to be when they're just there as random body guards or whatever to some rich family lol. There was one dude who played an English teacher and his Japanese was actually pretty good (I'm willing to bet he's actually an English teacher lol). He spoke English like normal. Some random tutor however...where do they cast these people?! Lol

I will say I was super surprised (and happy) when I saw a black girl in one the Japanese dramas I was watching! I'm pretty sure she was half Japanese probably, and she had no speaking lines, but still!!! She was visual constant as one of the other office workers. It was cool!
