Japan really does have a weird world view when it comes to WW2. They just seem to see the Hugo Boss uniforms and not the horrific systemic slaughter. The Japanese school system needs reform.

I mean lbr though, the uniforms are hot. They were designed the way they were for a very specific reason.

do we have to do this again

It's literally the truth, though. The uniforms were designed to be appealing, there's no shortage of actual historical evidence backing this up.

wow clothing that was designed to look appealing that's so unique to nazi germany! which makes it not weird at all that the only times people ever trot it out is when they talk about how hot nazis looked!

They were not designed by Boss though. Boss only was a manufacturer back then and produced the uniforms, the design came from a high ranking Nazi. Doesn't change the intent but it was not, in fact, some sort of high fashion Hugo Boss design.

THIS. Historical facts, people.

the clothes were similar to other designs at the time. Google military uniform of those times, Russian and Nazi are pretty similar exept colour and insignia. To think that an army unifrorm is something revolutionary hot never seen before or since is weird.

There is not, however, historical evidence to back up the much-used claim that they were designed by Hugo Boss. https://twitter.com/fakehistoryhunt/status/1344006104171343872?lang=en-GB

Dog shit in a tuxedo is still dog shit, and now it's ruined a tuxedo.
