Definitely relate that I like the intense pair bond aspect. Which only kind of works with most ships if the intensity is only directed one way rather than more than one. Part of what makes it so intense is that it's directed towards one person. It wouldn't come across as strong if they were managing more than one romantic partner. I'm also into a lot of classic romantic tropes (sue me) and they come across really awkward a lot of the time when trying to apply them to a relationship with more than one person. At least to me.

It doesn't help that most of the OT3 fic I've tried to read has presented really fluffy relationships and I like it with there's some fucky wucky going on. Like said intensity being an actual issue of some kind.
