Fair, considering it does seem to happen here frequently, same as Lower Decks dissing. I don’t think it’s all boomers doing it though. There is a lot of boomers doing it, of course, it’s just not all boomers. There’s also a lot of Gen X’ers and Millennials doing it too.

Idk, I feel annoyed that NuTrek dissing seems to be more common sometimes than people just discussing why they feel the way they do in a constructive way. It’s totally their right to hate it, and they don’t have to have a good reason. But it still gets old to hear the same insults like every week. And I even defend some that do so if I feel like someone is being too harsh or defensive in the other direction. But that doesn’t mean I agree with the people who hate NuTrek just for existing, and generalize all of it while admitting they haven’t even watched most or any of what they’re complaining about.

You’d think I’d be used to these types of sometimes cheap disses from Trek fans considering I got into the franchise through Voyager. But apparently not.

Yeah, they need to get out of the fandom if they aren't gonna get on board with it. We don't need or want them around. We need a more hostile environment for them. I feel you on the coming with discussion of why they feel that way being better, at least then you can argue them around or pick their stuff apart until they run away. When they just stonewall you with they don't like it, there isn't much to work with to run them out.

This is hilariously bs. Nobody said anything remotely like “older fans should just leave the fandom if they don’t like the new shows~”. Just that complaining nonstop about them every time people bring them up, and constantly belittling their fans isn’t healthy. I also said “It’s totally their right to hate it, and they don’t have to have a good reason.”, which you completely ignored so that you could pretend to be a poor victim of mean old people who don’t hate NuTrek. When I followed it up with “But it still gets old to hear the same insults like every week.”, that was the important part. It’s fine if people don’t like them, but it’s always the same insults.

You also ignored the part where I said I would sometimes defend people who go don’t like NuTrek if I felt like fans were being too harsh and defensive to them, especially if said person who’s not a fan of NuTrek was being perfectly polite and/or constructive about their thoughts. If you have to ignore almost half of what someone is saying to pretend you have a point or justification for your victim complex, maybe you should gain some self-awareness.
