(Anonymous) 2022-05-30 06:34 am (UTC)(link)Like they're creating something for visual consumption, but then they make it impossible to view at the same time... Sometimes simply because of their ~artistic license~, which in that case is certainly douchey and absolutely snobbish.
Most times I'll say it's because the video isn't properly rendered for a specific screen and it's RBG%/display so it's not going to show up properly. (Which should technically be accounted for regardless, tbh.) I find that even trying to adjust even my most capable screens, that making the more darker scenes viewable likewise affects the more brighter scenes in a way that I have to readjust the display again in order for it not to be overexposed. But since \!dark!/ is such a popular visual right now, I doubt things are gonna change regardless of common viewer worries I guess;;
