Didn't AH leak pictures of her alleged abuse to the tabloids? Seems like she was the one dragging it out into the public.

I watched a clip where JD's lawyer asked how one tabloid got access to a picture, and she basically blamed her legal team for leaking it, which, you expect me to believe her LEGAL TEAM leaked her abuse pics, and she didn't sue them or even mention it until then? Not likely. Then JD's lawyer asked her how and why TMZ got a copyright on another video she took, yet again, no idea how her private accounts of trauma got leaked, but didn't think to mention it until then. Pretty obvious what happened.

You have to remember, it's not like AH was being cornered by paparazzi outside a CVS and answering questions on the fly. She's in court, under oath, with a full legal team behind her. This was the best version of her story she could come up with, and yet she didn't think to include her legal team doing stuff that could potentially get them disbarred?

But the comment I'm responding was saying that the *only* reason this went public is bc JD wanted to humiliate AH. I'm just saying, if she's leaking to the tabloids, then that's clearly not the case. JD also leaking doesn't change that fact.

That was before this trial though, so it’s irrelevant to making the trial public. He’s still in the wrong for that. Whether she’s telling the truth or not, her trying to corroborate her story with “evidence” in the past doesn’t justify him making this a public case.

And for the record, I don’t actually believe her, hence why I put evidence in quotation marks. I just don’t agree at all with JD’s decision to broadcast the trial and have it be open to outsiders. And I don’t at all agree that her giving anything to tabloids justifies that decision on his part.

Because public slander needs a public defense.

You will see the sort of abuse, manipulation and gaslighting AH put him through. If the trial weren't public, we'd only ever have gotten AH's side. Even now, there are people trying make AH the victim when hooooooly crud, these recordings, what even.

It really doesn’t.

Like I said, transcripts are already free and available to the public, and there’s ways to let people know about things happening in a court case without going the full mile and broadcasting it while leaving the courtroom open to anyone. Just because she was the defendant doesn’t mean she’s the only one who’s side is available if it’s in a private courtroom. The only way people would only get AH’s side is if she won, and even then, his side would still be readily available to the public as long as his case wasn’t dismissed on all counts before he got a chance to say anything. He was just as likely to win this case in a more private setting than the widest public setting.

Doing it the way he did it was a bad call, and even some people who agree with him think so.

And since I’m one of those people, why did you feel the need to link me this video as if I needed convincing of AH’s badness or something? I said already that I didn’t believe her.

There’s always going to be people who disagree with the each other. You just proved that one of your reasons for the trial being public was untrue, by admitting that people still defend AH. The trial being public didn’t stop that, and nothing ever will. You don’t have to like it, and it’s reasonable not to in this case, but you can’t change everyone’s mind. They would think the same way no matter if the trial was public or private.

She put on makeup to look like bruising and then had her friend take pictures at the courthouse and post them on Insta. That was the day she filed for the restraining order back in 2016 and she also contacted TMZ and told them she was going there to file the order.
