remember that depp wanted the trial public for a reason. to humiliate amber, and turn the public against her and destroy her career because she dared to speak up. i agree that it's exhausting, but this case, while not meant to be about the abuse, clearly was, and if a victim with clear receipts (photos, witnesses, texts, etc) is STILL not believed, then it just makes it that much harder for other victims to come forward in the future, and lets abusers know they can make their victims' lives hell if they attempt to say anything.

I fucking hate that Depp is becomign the face of Male Abuse Victim. I literally hate his face. Amber's receipts convinced me that whatever else was going on, he was doin' a violence to her, and sadly it fits with the other on-set stuff people say about his temper.

His face also looks like the face of a guy who did domestic violence who I used to know (he stuck to verbal/emotional abuse with me, only escalated to physical shit with later partners and victims) so I don't want to see it ever again. That makes another reason to not go see the latest jkr movies, ha ha ha fuckin' ha

My baby girl was forced to settle in a trial with a guy who tried to force her off her meds and choked her in bed and pursued her for sex when she didn't want any to the point where she had to hide under the bed so he couldn't reach her. It makes me so mad that the person with all the money gets to force an outcome in their favor so many times.

I watched a clip where JD's lawyer asked how one tabloid got access to a picture, and she basically blamed her legal team for leaking it, which, you expect me to believe her LEGAL TEAM leaked her abuse pics, and she didn't sue them or even mention it until then? Not likely. Then JD's lawyer asked her how and why TMZ got a copyright on another video she took, yet again, no idea how her private accounts of trauma got leaked, but didn't think to mention it until then. Pretty obvious what happened.

You have to remember, it's not like AH was being cornered by paparazzi outside a CVS and answering questions on the fly. She's in court, under oath, with a full legal team behind her. This was the best version of her story she could come up with, and yet she didn't think to include her legal team doing stuff that could potentially get them disbarred?

That was before this trial though, so it’s irrelevant to making the trial public. He’s still in the wrong for that. Whether she’s telling the truth or not, her trying to corroborate her story with “evidence” in the past doesn’t justify him making this a public case.

And for the record, I don’t actually believe her, hence why I put evidence in quotation marks. I just don’t agree at all with JD’s decision to broadcast the trial and have it be open to outsiders. And I don’t at all agree that her giving anything to tabloids justifies that decision on his part.

Nobody said she wanted to keep things private. This is not about her privacy or the alleged slander. This is about him making this trial public, which he shouldn’t have done. People would have found out the results anyways, because transcripts are almost always public record. But it actually being televised and open to the public the entire time was the problem, which again, most people aren’t objecting to because they care about her privacy.
