(Anonymous) 2022-06-04 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)“yeah and i disagree with that.” Okay?
Ayrt is right that there’s a difference between hate and critique. And it’s perfectly understandable to not want hate to be tagged with the general fandom umbrella tags. Or at least tagged “(fandom) hate” or “anti-(fandom/character/ship)”. If the people who hate it critique it with good points instead of saying all the ways the hate it while calling it(as well as fans and creators) trash, then less people would have a problem.
But for some odd reason, most people looking through fandom tags to see posts from other fans and interact with them find it annoying to have to sift through sometimes several posts that are pretty much nothing but pointless bashing and insults directed at them for liking the thing. /s
Even if there’s a nugget of decent critique in there, it’s buried under the hatefulness. But if it’s just critique, none of the dickishness, it’s fine and most people don’t mind. Even if it’s not what some people want to see in the tags, it’s not a bother to see if it’s constructive, or at least someone saying they dislike it without attacks.

(Anonymous) 2022-06-04 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)And then I added the rest because that’s my opinion, and why I agreed with ayrt. I think their POV is understandable, and said so.
What a weird response you wrote.

(Anonymous) 2022-06-04 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)Like, if that’s how you feel, then that’s fine. And agreeing to disagree is obviously the best course of action. But your comment wasn’t as clear as you thought it would be to everyone. Maybe some could understand what you meant, maybe even most. But just saying you disagree is not equal to saying you disagree but respect their opinions? So you getting pressed over it with “what do you mean “okay?”?? It’s obvious what I meant” is unhelpful, and just as strange a reaction as you think my response is. Because it was obviously unclear to me at least what you meant, but you clearly couldn’t have just explained yourself without getting pissy.
