This might be weird because it’s canon, but Danny/Sam from Danny Phantom is my most despised ship in all of fictional media.

Not weird at all. There are definitely some canon ships that are NOTPs for me (Bruce/Natasha for one). Just because it is canon doesn't mean you have to ship, and also doesn't mean it actually works.

Okay so I'm weird about this. I don't dislike Sam/Danny in concept. It could would in concept. But I hate the way that it was done in canon. Sam doesn't often grow or get any kind of criticism from the narrative. She gets what she wants and doesn't usually have to face her own faults. Danny makes compromises while Sam gets her way. This is not a healthy relationship.

My other issue with Sam is that she is rife with "Not Like Other Girls." a trope I DESPISE. Her stand against the beauty contest was entirely pointless. Nobody HAD to participate.
