Gilded Age as a theme is actually remarkably on point right now if one considers the social and political aspects of 1870s-1900s western society. The trouble is that nobody took advantage of that in their costumes and in fact most of them were clearly totally ignorant as to what the theme even actually was.

idk, as i understand it her jewelry was on theme but her dress was just a dress and that's kind of the main event
