Hook/Emma from Once Upon a Time, and Rey/Kylo Ren from Star Wars. I have other ships I'm not fond of, but none make me froth at the mouth like those two. It's funny, I was in various fandoms for almost 20 years before having a NoTP.

And in both cases, it's one character I loved and didn't really ship with anyone being paired with a male character I want to roll in ground glass, douse with gasoline, and set on fire. But some fans of both ships swore they were psychic because they could just tell that I only hated their perfect woobies because I shipped Emma and Rey with someone else.

Bzzt! Wrong!

I don't mind fic that ships Emma and Rey with other characters, but I only seriously thought about shipping them rather than leaving them single and happy with their found families out of spite because I hated Captain Rape Joke and Darth Tantrum so fucking much.

And in both cases, if I have to ship them I prefer OT3s (Emma/Regina/Neal, Rey/Rose/Finn, Rey/Finn/Poe) or for SW even Rey/Finn/Rose/Poe with Kylo stewing in resentment and them all in a kickline doing the SW equivalent of giving the finger.

Nope, and I've never even seen OUAT. But I don't go around talking about how much I hate them because the men are bad and the women are flawless queens because I'm not one of those Other Girls who romanticizes problematic men because they're hot (and no, I don't think they're hot).

AYRT--most of my ships are M/F and problematic as all get out. Almost all my faves can be simplified to kidnapper/kidnapee. I like my female characters like my male ones, all over the map.

I would absolutely roll one of the female characters from OUAT in glass and set her on fire, possibly after keeping her in a coffin full of spiders for two days. It's just none of Zelena's ships are very popular because she raped every man she slept with.

And I don't attack other women for being "not like other girls" which seems pretty shitty compared to hating two fictional men.

I was into "not like other girls" stuff as a preteen and young teen because all my worst bullies were other girls, and the worst sexual assault I've dealt with was by a woman, but I don't think all women are evil or some bullshit.

And generally people bitch about "not like other girls" girls for hating other girls and "feminine" things like fashion, cooking, homemaking, etc, not because they glorify women and hate men. "Not like other girls" isn't a blanket insult for women you disagree with.

And where did you get that I think men are bad from a comment where I ship two women with each other and one man, and two women with two men and each other?

I hate two fictional men being shipped with two female characters I like, out of hundreds of characters from hundreds of books and shows.

I also ship Padme with Anakin and Belle with Rumpelstiltskin and you picked a fight with an imaginary shipper who isn't me, over which imaginary characters I like and loathe. Want to switch to insulting me for "romanticizing problematic men?"

Or maybe don't randomly insult people about fictional stuff in the first place?
