I think a lot of people like me are just Tired of people like OP proclaiming ignorance when like. Literally, so many of us, who ALSO have mental health issues BECAUSE of people like OP, try to educate her for hours and hours and NONE of it makes a dent. Meanwhile, she spouts the same shit we hear daily.

I understand that, as a pan non-binary person who has to live and work with people who think sex = gender and that there are only 2 genders, in a country where every noun and adjective is gendered... Trust me, I'm fucking frustrated all the time. But even though I was one of the anons trying to reason with OP, I think we're just piling up on them (and they're not gonna change their mind, they don't even realize how bad they sound when they express this type of opinon). I'm conflicted.

I think people are allowed to be angry, especially BECAUSE some people spent the better part of a day essentially babying her. She keeps saying she doesn't want to hurt people, then spouting hurtful things (and not getting that the vitriol is BECAUSE of the hurt) and really, she's just kinda a selfish beech with a persecution complex.

OP needs the reality check, especially if she's experiencing mental health issues. It's super easy to get stuck in the "everyone else in the world is wrong but me" cycle that OP has decided she lives in now, and when the people around you indulge you it makes things worse.

But, even if that was somehow not true and coddling a delusional asshole was somehow the kinder option, no one on f!s should be expected to value a stranger's dubious mental illness over their own well-being. Being a trans person who lives in Texas and therefore is prosecuted doesn't make it that you're the only person in this world to suffer. it doesn't make you better than anyone else.
It makes you someone who suffers due to bigotry and needs protection, understanding and love and human rights.

It doesn't make you better than OP, even if you want to believe it. It'd be simpler and it'd hurt less, knowing for sure you're a better person than them, but you are not.
