My Frodo doesn't look much like Elijah either. He works for the Frodo at the very beginning of the book, but by the time the journey actually starts, he's the same age Bilbo was when he started out.

Yup, as he should be IMO. :) Now, my Gandalf does look a lot like Ian McKellen, but that's because he was perfectly cast to match the image that already existed, not the other way around.

There were a few perfect castings. My Gandalf, Galadriel, and Boromir all match the film ones.
