Somehow, I knew you'd come scampering in with this childish, ignorant assumption.

Name the assumption

(Anonymous) 2022-07-02 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
That Amber is 100% an innocent lamb and Johnny is the only abuser in that relationship.

That Johnny is the only abuser in that relationships is a conclusion not an assumption.

(Anonymous) 2022-07-02 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Because you've assumed that Amber's behavior can't possibly be abusive in any way whatsoever, no matter what she said or did.

Nah, I didn't actually assume that. I just looked at the context of both people's behavior, and I don't think coercive control was available to her and nothing about what depp has said about amber amounts to coercive control

You assume that no one could possibly look at the evidence and sincerely come to a different conclusion than you, as usual.

If you understand abuse dynamics or hell care about what dv experts say and look at the evidence, you couldn't, no.

But hey! If you have looked at the evidence in toto, and want to list where you get "Amber Heard exerted coercive control on Johnny Depp" go for it.

I do understand abuse dynamics. I know that no abuser considers themselves to be one, and that women are quite often every bit as abusive as men, they just do it in different ways. I also understand how people will behave when their livelihood is on the line. That's why I've concluded that neither of the individuals involved is a reliable narrator, and that the only two people who know for sure what went on in their relationship are Amber and Johnny themselves.

Again, if you concluded that Amber had coercive control.....lay it out.

Did you actually listen to the recordings where she admitted to exhibiting coercive control over Johnny (chasing him constantly when he fled from room to room or property to property, then continuing to abuse him *for* fleeing her)? Or are you just assuming a man with money can't be controlled?

Listen to the recordings. But don't, actually, because I found them triggering.
