Yeah. Plataforms like LJ or DW or good old forums make it very easy for anyone to jump into a conversation and the ages of everyone involved barely matter - it's not how it works in Tumblr or Twitter for instance, where conversations tend to be 1:1 more often, and I do think there was a bigger shift in online attitudes with that.
