That sucks. I had a sort of similar situation in that a friend recommended a series that was "super gay" (m/m) according to her and there is...a clearly platonic friendship between two dudes who I'm not entirely sure have even been in a scene alone together. I mean, she never said there was canon romance, but I was expecting at least heavy subtext, and there's just...nothing. I guess to some people two guys not hating each other and occasionally being near each other is "super gay"?

In this community, more people have anti-slash goggles. Two guys with real chemistry or sometimes guys who are CANON are really just the product of delusional fangirls' brains.
