I used to get a kick from ordering drinks based on fics/fandom things.

These days I just stick with a vodka gibson, everyone can make one of those. I'd rather get bombed on sidecars, but they can be very hit and miss, so vodka gibsons are safer even if they are duller.

I'm always struck by those kinds of cases, too. Especially when it's within the family. Same with the cases where one spouse murders the other. Just the "why" of it all, what led this family/this couple to fall apart as it did (presuming they ever had a period of stability at all, that is), and the kinds of family/relationship dysfunction that can lead to that kind of horrific outcome...there's something very haunting about those kinds of stories (case in point, there's a story on an episode of "Deadly Women" that I'm watching right now about a mom who took out her entire family because she thought she was "protecting" them from the end of the world).

I also agree with you on the cutesy attitudes and slang and such that people throw around in regards to these kinds of stories, and how weird it is to say you have a "favorite" murder. It's one thing to ask what cases are especially memorable or have stuck with somebody, or something like that, but yeah, while I do find true crime interesting, I wouldn't say I have "favorite" cases, no. That just sounds weird.

Bloody Marys are really easy to make at home and taste good even with cheap vodka because tomato juice is so overpowering and fandomwise used to order Rusty Nails because of that song by X Japan. I think in general I'm very susceptible to fandom cocktails because I don't know much about alcohol so I just order whatever and see whether I like it or not... but I don't have any go-tos.

... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

I haven't seen that movie since I was a little kid, but it terrified me so much that for years afterward I refused to enter water that was above my knees. Even the deep end of swimming pools made me anxious.
