Bloody Marys are really easy to make at home and taste good even with cheap vodka because tomato juice is so overpowering and fandomwise used to order Rusty Nails because of that song by X Japan. I think in general I'm very susceptible to fandom cocktails because I don't know much about alcohol so I just order whatever and see whether I like it or not... but I don't have any go-tos.

if I'm at a bar, which lbr is almost never except aybe at a convention in a hotel where I'm ok with paying hotel bar prices, it's safer to get whiskey than rum because most of them only have Bacardi or Captain, both of which are shit rum. they're cocktail rums, not for enjoying the smooth taste and quick tipsy.

(my favorite rum is vaguely fandom-related, in that I love fictional pirates and Krakens are found often in fiction, but after tasting it I fell in love)

When I was younger it was black Russians all the way, but these days they just leave my mouth feeling all sugar coated and sticky. I've moved onto fruit juice based cocktails instead. Although there is something to be said for a nice peaty Scotch.

Vodka with some kind of soda. I used to go for more fancy drinks but not anymore.

Alcohol wise: Either a whiskey sour, a pina colada, or mead.

Fandom: Soukyuu no Fafner/Fafner in the Azure

Everything after the Heaven & Earth movie doesn't exist in my mind. Usually I'm someone who ignores things in canon I don't like, but acknowledge its general existence, but this one in my exception. I basically hated everything that came after.

I don't mind VegasPete. I even LIKE them (and their chemistry) on screen. I'm avoiding their fandom like the plague. The whole show fandom has reached the size that makes a fandom not fun to me at this point (I'm just looking at gif sets and meta by the few people I trust), but this particular part of it is so aggressive in their stanning it makes me enjoy the show less.

I've been a fan of Shirley Temple since I was a kid, so of course my go-to drink is a Shirley Temple.

... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

This is why I hate even slightly serialised shows. The Orville's "From Unknown Graves" just deep sixed a fifty thousand word fanfic I was writing on the origin of the Kaylon. Fifty thousand words, and into the recycle bin it goes.

Okay, that's a lie, I'm retooling it into a Clone Wars AU, but still...

I really love those old Children's Film Foundation movies, made with the most unconvincing child actors Britain had, on a budget so cheap even old Doctor Who looked flush with cash, and with the cheesiest plots known to man. I love them all. My faves are One Hour to Zero and Robin Hood Junior. Gotta love that cheesy old stuff.

David Bishop's Whoniverse novel 'Who Killed Kennedy' made the worst Doctor Who companion's exit even worse, and I will not hear any Who fan that wants to argue the point with me. It was The Worst.

My favourite Tolkien knock off series was RA Salvatore's Echoes of the Fourth Magic, LotR meets the Bermuda triangle and post apocalypse Earth. It was kinda fun and dumb, I almost wish Netflix would buy the rights just to see what happens to it. Bonus: I actually read it before I read LotR so I had no context for a lot of the stuff happening in Salvatore's books.

I'm so excited that Natsume's Book of Friends is getting a dub! It will make the show so much more accessible. That being said, I'll never watch it. I think Natsume and Madara's sub VAs are just too perfect for those roles.
