For people that don't want to watch, the plaintiffs revealed that the defense accidentally sent them a full copy of Alex Jones' phone, including 2 years of texts and emails. Additionally, they never declared it privileged so the plaintiffs team can do whatever they want with it. The January 6th committee (Jones was friends with many of the people involved there) and his ex-wife have already requested the texts.

Wow. Just. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. But at the same time, as a lawyer I'm highly offended that this person still has a license. Please, whatever state they are barred in, do something about this travesty.

His defense attorney literally quoted the "So they came for the communists and I did not speak up" poem in his closing argument!

Yup. Needs to lose his license. And never, ever be hired by anyone as their attorney ever again.

On the one hand, nice to see Alex Jones made a fool of. And happy he'll almost certainly lose. But on the other hand, he and his followers will use this awful attorney as an excuse. They're going to claim he only lost because the attorney failed and that he's totally innocent.

TBH part of me is wondering if that's the reason he has such a bad attorney.

They're going to claim that he's totally innocent regardless of what happens, because that's what they do. The facts don't matter in the first place to them. They would just come up with a different lie.

& from the point of view of facts and reality and logic, it's not a very good explanation for how he's totally innocent. his lawyer failed to cover up the evidence that proved he was guilty - that's not exactly an argument that he did nothing wrong in the first place

According to the internet, you can't get a mistrial in a civil case due to a bad attorney. The reason he has a bad one is because he has gone through like 9 for this trial.

Feels like this is a lesson that lawyers shouldn't have to be told. "Don't hide things in discovery, and if you do hide things in discovery, don't send them to the opposing attorney, and if you do send them to the opposing attorney, tell your client so he doesn't flagrantly lie about them in his testimony". But apparently not.

What a shitshow.

The judge has had to remind the defense lawyer multiple times of things he should know from year one of law school. She has chewed him out many times.

I am LOVING this judge. She is just completely out of fucks to give with this asshole and it is beautiful to watch her shut him down.

I feel for her, too, though, because having to put up with this moron for even five seconds is something nobody should have to endure.

I saw a story about the trial on TV earlier and they showed a clip of his attorney actually flipping off the prosecutor at one point during a break in the trial.
