There's a popular ship in my fandom. And I get it, I get why people ship it, it's cute and the characters have great chemistry and I like the characters individually and I like their friendship. But I just can't get behind it as a ship at all.

What's frustrating is that I can't even figure out why! Every reason I think of that I don't like it applies to a different ship in the same fandom that I do ship.

Too popular? It's the second most popular ship in the fandom, second only to my ship.
Shippers assume everyone ships it because of its popularity? Also happens with the ship I ship.
Shippers make everything about their ship? Yeah, but they do that with my ship too...possibly even more.
I ship the characters with other characters instead? I do, but I'm no stranger to multishipping, so that's never been an issue for me.

It doesn't really matter of course, but I just wish I could understand what's not clicking for me.
