Re: How do you listen to music?

It varies. Recently I have been struggling with a health issue and even going outside isn't always easy, so, whenever I do go outside (mostly for visits to doctors/clinics) I start playing my favorite album, which is very soothing and acts as my natural antidepressant and anxiolytic when I am outside (my end-of-year statistics are gonna be so funny I swear.) Usually - when I am working or at home - I am the kind of person who gets a very specific song stuck on their head and then listens to the same song for hours, until finally getting enough of it and proceeds to listen to other songs in the same genre/artist/album. Like, "this is the kind of song that fits my mood rn, this is what makes me feel ok right now" is what drives me to listen to certain song/playlist. Of course I have playlists for specific genres and moods for that very purpose.

I listen to foreign music more often than music in my own language so I can't say I care a lot for lyrics. So I feel the mood of the song before I pay attention to the lyrics. If I like the song, then I'll pay attention to the lyrics (or check them online if it's a language I can't speak well) ... and see how they fit my OTPs lol. So, yeah, don't really care for album themes even when I LOVE the album. I respect people who do, it's just not the level at which I vibe with music tbh so yeahh
