For most general listens, I have playlists I created on Spotify.

Some artists I really love I'll play their entire discography on random or I'll pick an album I'm in the mood for and listen to it on repeat (most albums I have to listen from track one to the last and repeat, randomizing the album throws me off).

If it's an artist that I just discovered/want to get into, I'll listen to a couple of their popular songs on Spotify, maybe check out a music video, and then I might listen to more of their discography on random. If I get more into the artist I'll start looking and listening to the individual albums as their own thing.
