I also watched this one, which was fairly good, though I kept getting lowkey distracted by how BONKERS beautiful this YTer is, like, fucking HOW, good lord.

The main tips I have at the moment are:
1. It doesn't have to be a brow lamination kit, you can also buy a lash lamination kit, it will generally work for brows too.
2. When people are doing their brows, some people use the glue (which is generally provided mainly for doing your lashes) in order to stick their brows down, and some people just jump right to applying the perm solution. If you have brows that are fairly easy to manipulate you may not need to do the glue step. I did the glue step, because my brows do NOT take instruction well, but some of the YTers I watched skipped the glue step.
3. The worst case scenario (besides having a freak allergic reaction, which is always a possibility with chemical products obv) is that you fry your brows so badly that a lot of them break off. Perming solution is not gentle on hair. So definitely don't decide to leave the perming solution on for way too long just to be sure it works, lol. Also, if you dye your brows already, then you may not want to laminate them, because first of all the perming solution will strip some of the dye and probably turn your brows ginger, and second of all they may all break off.

(Anonymous) 2022-08-13 10:53 am (UTC)(link)Thanks for sharing!!! I hate flat lashes so I'm like "oooooo". I will have to look more into brow laminating too! Sounds fascinating.
Re: Just laminated my brows at home! What did you do today?
(Anonymous) 2022-08-13 01:09 pm (UTC)(link)Thanks! And also that YTer is so pretty lol
I'm curious about it, and I was given a recommendation for an esthetician who I guess does it (because when I asked the girl where she went for her eyebrows, she told me it came out to $70 and all I could think was what?!), And now I've been looking at professionals (omg the pricing). But I'm just super hesitant because it's relaxer (and I know how strong that stuff is). On my eyebrows. Hmmm. I'm still on the fence, and while my eyebrow hairs are thick, my eyebrows themselves are thin because of over waxing/threading in the past. I haven't done my brows in years and they still don't look thick. So maybe... .if I do them, the first time will be with a pro. Don't trust myself with an Amazon kit lol.
Thanks for the advice!
