I can't tell which of these two the words are about...

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
Cap has the worse politics, so I'm calling it a Cap secret.

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
AYRT fair enough lol. I was thinking maybe him because of the blue and red but that could have also been Ironman colours too lol.

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
How so?

Pretty sure that’s intentional. It’s very specifically crafted bait.

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
Or making the point that both of their fans say exactly the same thing when defending one of them against the fans of the other.

Nah I think it's genuine-- the red and blue points to Cap and he WAS so personally motivated and unable to talk things out as to become the bad guy of his own movie.

I think that's the point.

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
I lurned to love Steve as an antihero that destroys innocent people to save his love. Now
I have wo Steves in my head, the comics one and the evil one.

OP *wags finger*

I still think this movie could have been really interesting with a good script. Or like a previous movie with some team bonding. or like a villain who wasn't relying on utter stupidity.

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
Lol, IA with the people who weren’t sure which one you meant. They both have some obnoxious Stans for sure.

A+, nonny. perfectly crafted, easily appropriated by either side, and totally ready to stir the shit as soon as the right eyes get on it.

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
This seemed so blatantly obvious to me — very specifically crafted bait (or more charitably, a clever comment on the arguments made by both sides).

But of course there are already people sure they know who it refers to.

Yeppppppp
philstar22: (MCU: Steve angry)

[personal profile] philstar22 2022-09-02 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
In terms of views I sympathized with both of them. But as soon as Tony, knowing Bucky had been brainwashed and wasn't actually responsible, attacked him anyway and then got angry at Cap for defending his innocent friend, I was over him.

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
Says the Stucky stan

Listen, you can't always save someone who's been brainwashed. That Bucky was is a fucking miracle pulled off by comics bullshit.

Even if he couldn't have been saved, he still wasn't responsible for the deaths of the Starks. Tony was still wrong.

+100000

Even if Bucky couldn't be saved, he still deserved due process, a trial and to have his civil rights as an individual protected. Killing him because he was in the process of doing or aiding something awful and it's the only way to stop him is one thing. A very focused attempt to murder him in a fit of rage is... something else, and definitely not the action of someone who should be trusted with advanced military hardware.

It worries me how comfortable some people are with stripping away the rights of anyone they don't like, or that they think are dangerous. It never seems to occur to them that someone could come along and take their rights away because they are deemed dangerous. The law and political entities are not always right.

I know this is targeted toward Steve but it wasn't as if Tony was an objective party either. Steve may have gotten focused on Bucky but he was at least trying to read the Accords before Peggy's death. Tony was feeling guilty after running into that mother at the elevator. And Tony's stans are just as bad/defensive.

I came out of the movie on T'Challa's side.

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 02:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Given that T'Challa was actively trying to murder bucky himself until the end, and didn't care who he hurt or killed in the process, I came out on Team No One.

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
I cannot figure out who TF you're talking about. They were both in the wrong, though I can totally see why they made the decisions that they did. But honestly, the real villain in that film wasn't even Zemo, it was Ross (and everybody who had a part in building the Raft).

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 06:50 am (UTC)(link)
Given that the colored words are red and blue, I'm gonna assume this is a Cap secret.

I adore Tony, and IMO a lot of the criticism against him is OTT and biased. However, I think this secret is something they could both easily be accused of.

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Red for Tony, blue for Steve.
dantesspirit: (HAHAHA No.)

Yeah, that's bait.
