The Queen did not have any meaningful political power and did not make any of those decisions.

I mean, look, if you want to say that she was a figurehead and a symbol of a despicable regime and so you don't want to mourn her death on those grounds, fine. That's a factual statement and a reasonable reaction. But it's frankly ridiculous to treat her as a major protagonist of the imperial system on a personal level, because she just simply wasn't. On a personal level, she was a nice old lady.
