I'll start below!

So currently watching the devil is a part timer season 2 and OMG SHUT RHE FUCK UP CHIHO.

For cibtext, Chiho is the 15 y/o/regular human HS girl stand-in for the viewer who is also sort of the fan service because if her chest (eugh eyeroll. Like they're always cutting to her chest at some point in the episode, anyway, I digress). Anyhow, she naturally has a crush on the MC1, and maybe I missed how annoying her type of character is when I was younger but Omg mind your fucking business and stay in school. And wtf is with her mom approving her crush?!

The good points I'll give her is that she's sweet (although sometimes I feel it's less genuine and more to get into MC1 and MC2 (her female challenger/MC1's enemy) good books. I'll also give that the MC2 and her actually get along and are not enemies (they actually look out for each other), and it's really Chiho being a jealous teenager. She's just really annoying. I'm wondering if I ever found Kagome annoying back in my Inuyasha days, but no. The one I found truly annoying was Kikyo (and I even felt kind of bad for her at first). Actually, Inuyasha was more annoying than either of them and I just remember wishing Kagome would have packed up her shit and fucked Koga or Sesshomaru (who wouldn't want her to begin with, but still). Just needed to vent about this character! Lol

Also, fuck MC1 for putting his trust and reliance on a kid! And not brushing her off 100% from the get go.

A staple rule of anime is that age doesn't matter. This girl is the MC's coworker or something and an audience insert right? Then she's 15 because the lowest target audience age is 15 and no other reason, for all intents and purposes she could be an adult, the older audience members have forgotten her canon age and made it their own because they're not obsessed with canon ages like Western modern fandom, and characters will treat her like one because that's the convention of that type of anime. Putting it on the MC as a character flaw for trusting a "kid" holds no water.

Oh for sure she's the stand in for the youngest target age, but she's also in her school uniform enough times/the characters get called out for spending time together because it looks a certain way for her to be coming and going from a man's apartment. That the other characters all more or less look like older teenagers with exception of two of them I think fits the purpose you're talking about more/the usual anime tropes (as does she, obviously). But either way. She just annoys me lol (I think it's really the character type) and I'm wondering if she's going to get super powers or her being human will give her an unexpected edge.

I liked Kagome back in my Inuyasha days, but now I find her annoying. I find all the characters annoying now, but Kagome is the most annoying with her "Inuyasha, sit :)." What a smug little brat.

Maybe if I rewatched now, I might feel similarly. I do, however, recall Inuyasha was a little shit to her.

Haven't seen Inuyasha in a hot minute, but I always kind of liked Kagome and Inuyashas banter in the earlier parts of the series. They were both little shits to each other.

I've finally gotten around to watching House of the Dragon. And I've spent most of the first three episodes wanting to punch King Viserys in the face. I don't think I hate him as much as the GOT Viserys, at least not yet. But I really, really don't like him. He's a bad king, a bad father, a bad husband, and a bad man. And then he begs everyone around him to tell him how good he's doing at all those jobs. He waffles between being diplomatic and hard-nosed and can't seem to make a decision at all. He lets himself be swayed every which way. And then there's what he did to his first wife.

He's just so selfish and spineless! He and his nonsense bear a lot of the responsibility for the Dance.

Yup.

I guess it’s more like my least favorite adaptation of a character…but damn<\i> do I hate what they did to Ricki Tarr in the movie of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

I try not to harp on my hatred for this particular adaptation, but a recent r/movies post stirred it up again.

I hate that this version of the character is a hopeless romantic, falling head-over-heels in love with a women who is supposed to be an asset. And then weeping over her and begging for her to be rescued when he really should know that she’s almost certainly dead already.

[Extra hatred because they cast Tom Hardy, who could easily have excellently executed a much more faithful and interesting version of the character.]

I like this movie, maybe because I've never read the book, but his character and all his plot was annoying
