I mostly read YA because there's a lot more of queer sci-fis and fantasy books that just sound appealing to me - that and they're easier to read.

And honestly, I know a lot of adults my own age who don't read anything beyond social media and maybe magazines/articles because they don't find any joy in reading books. I know one woman at work who told me that school made her hate reading because the teaching was just shit, and just prefer movies/shows in her spare time.

Guess most would look down on them for not being intellectual or whatever high farting horse some people choose to be on; but I'm a firm believer that people can do whatever they want in their spare time.

FWIW I think queer adult SFF has gotten much, much more prevalent over the last 5-7 years (and the same is true with racial diversity).

Not that there's any moral requirement that you read it or anything, but if it's something you'd be interested in it does exist out there, and there's a lot more of it than there used to be.

Do you know any good listings, sites or place to rec? I hate looking through goodreads where half the time the queer rep is just one hardly-there character.

The Queer SFF lists on Goodreads are intended specifically for books with LGBTQ+ protagonists. (No guarantees that people won't ignore that requirement, but pretty much all the books I recognize follow it.) As with all GR lists, if a book has very few ratings and/or a disproportionate number of votes compared to the ratings, it's probably been voted up by sockpuppets or by fellow GR authors who haven't even read the book.
