She didn't die before her time in a fiery train crash, but goes onto live as a boomer during the period of greatest female emancipation, biggest economic boom, and period of general stability, the world has ever known. I'd say that is pretty fucking huge happy ending.

lol the biggest happy ending in history is just "being born in the West between 1927 and 1944 and surviving to adulthood"

I dunno, losing her entire family in a fiery train crash doesn't sound like that happy of an ending to me.

I heard they were all religious wackadoos who kept going on pilgrimages and living in fairyland. Sounds like she was well rid, especially since they'd have been happier if she'd never dated and became a nun.
