He's not my personal taste in hot, but he's an excellent actor, and "Being John Malkovitch" sold me on him forever because it shows he doesn't take himself too seriously.

Yeah, I agree. Those first couple seasons were a hot mess.

I actually really like season 1. Yes it isn't as good as the show would become, but it is still fun. Season 2 is the worst for me.

It's been ages since I watched, but I remember the first couple of seasons (beyond the horrible hair incident) just being a bit hectic, messy, and cringy in some spots. But - new shows are usually like that.

It definitely was. I at least found that the season 1 contestants were pretty likable, though. Even the semi-villain of the season was just a really competitive woman. She wasn't particularly obnoxious.

I can't believe someone else still remembers this drama in 2022! But yes, agreed. I can't recall any of their names now except Marcel and Ilan but didn't they send the black dude home as some kind of sacrificial lamb while the two white guys stayed? I def remember thinking all of those people should've been canned.
